For more than 35 years Everett, a self-taught artist has been involved in collecting and creating works of art. Former owner of the Ethnic Art Gallery Orlando FL. Everett currently conducts art workshops for Central Florida youth through the Spruill Foundation, a nonprofit organization formed to preserve African American Art and Culture. Everett advocates the necessity of art to enrich our lies and firmly believes the art helps us all become well-rounded and compassionate individuals. Everett is most known for his early collages and works on paper, notably, the “Old School Jazz Blue Series”, which features colorful images of fathers and legends of our own American art form known as Jazz. After earning a Business Degree from Berea College, KY and working as a Hotel Manager, Everett began his career as a full-time professional artist Everett’s art is in corporate in private collections worldwide including University of Central Florida, Disney World/Epcot Center, The Amway Center, The City of Casselberry to name a select few. Everett is influenced by African artists Arthur Rayford, Romare Bearden, Jacob Lawrence, Elizabeth Catlett, Charles White and Frank Stella
